Color and texture; sea and sky.
My paintings are influenced by the powerful coastal landscape of Big Sur. For years I have gone surfing, observing from the water the headlands and the dynamic motion of the sea and sky. I want to relate to the viewer of my art the pleasure moments I have of this coastline: to communicate the sense of immense space, unhurried reflection, shifting color and subtle forms.
